Three year stats

Rebecca had her 3 year well visit today.  She is fearless at the doctor now that she is getting older and has seen Emily go so many times.  She is 33 1/4 pounds and 33 3/4 inches.  I tried to prepare her for shots by telling her last night that she was going to see Doctor Spider to make sure she is growing and that she would be getting a poke.  Well it turns out that she didn't need any vaccinations today and they did her CBC back in January so they didn't even need to prick her finger.  So what does she do but throw a full blown tantrum because she wasn't getting a shot.  The nurse and I could not help but laugh.  When the nurse asked why she was crying she said because she didn't get a poke so she doesn't get candy for being a good girl!  The nurse kindly gave her a sucker anyways.

When we are about ready to go, Dr Snyder came back in and said their flu shot shipment had just arrived and although they weren't giving them out until October if we wanted to stick around for a few minutes the girls could get them today.  Rebecca was actually able to get the mist which she hated and Emily took her shot like a champ and shed not a single tear. 

Have I mentioned I love our pediatrician?  She always seems to  really be thinking about her patients.  It was much easier for me to just stick around an extra 15 minutes instead of driving all the way back with both girls another day.
